Prof. Dr. Mary George, M.A., M.Phil, Ph.D., is a distinguished academic and former Chairperson of the Public Expenditure Review Committee, Government of Kerala. She has made significant contributions to her field, having published 2 books and more than 100 articles in ISSN journals. Prof. Dr. George has been involved in several notable projects, including a Swedish Government funded project on the performance of local self-government institutions, comparing Porto-Alegre, Brazil, and Kerala, India. She also worked on a Department of Scientific and Industrial Research project focused on the technological sustainability of Kudumbasree Micro Enterprises, a micro-level study of Kerala funded by the Government of India. Additionally, she conducted a state-level study on the Cluster Development Programme of coconut cultivation, funded by the Coconut Development Board, Government of India. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. George collaborated with IIM Ahmedabad on sustainable development issues of the Corporation of Trivandrum, a project funded by the Ford Foundation. Her extensive research and contributions have significantly impacted public policy and development initiatives in Kerala.
