Perumbadavam Sreedharan, a Malayalam author from Kerala, has achieved a remarkable record in the literary world. His novel “Oru Sankeerthanam Pole” was first published in 1993 and reached its 37th edition by 2008, setting publishing records. This highly successful novel, based on the life of famous Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky and his wife Anna, has sold over 100,000 copies in about 12 years, a record in Malayalam literature. The book surpassed the 100th edition with over 200,000 copies in about 24 years.
